Hello Everyone! Hope you had a great week.

Today I’m gonna share with you my last travel, it was beautiful!!

A few months ago I started doing online music classes for children from Palena and last Tuesday I traveled to Palena to do presencial classes for the the rest of that week.

Palena is a very small town in the south of Chile, it is located around 300 km from Puerto Montt and the population is around 1700 people.

The travel was so long! There were 2 ways to get to Palena: by plane or by ship. We had to go by ship, and the ship took more than 10 hours to reach Chaiten! In chaiten they picked us up by car to continue our trip to Palena. like I said before, the journey is very long, but it's worth it.

In Palena the people is so kind and trustworthy, in the hostel that we stayed, the owner had to travel and let us in charge of the place haha and the people didn’t lock the doors and the cars!! It was like a paradise with no deliquency.

The landscapes of the Patagonia are so beatiful, we got to go to some rivers and hills.

Finally the children were very happy and enthusiastic about the classes we did. They were very talented!

Blog 3 - Religion

Hello everyone! Hope you´re good. Todays topic is religion.

I’m not a religious person. If I had to define my position, I would be closer to agnoticism.
I studied all my primary and secondary education in a catholic school. The first years I was closer to catholic religion, but as I grew older I began to question the doctrines and everything related to religion. That is why I refused to receive the sacraments, despite the pressure exerted on me by some teachers and directors to receive them. Although I had religious differences with my classmates and teachers, that did not prevent me from participating in religious activities that were of great help to the community. That helped me understand a little better the faith and respect for the beliefs of other people, because we all had a common goal despite our differences.
I think that as human beings having something to hold on to in good times and especially in bad times is very important, be it God, faith, the universe, or whatever you want to call those forces that we cannot see but sometimes we can feel.
To finish, I will leave you one of the sentences that marked me the most in school, and that I try to practice daily. It is a sentence and teaching of Mother Paulina: "Let love be the motive for your actions"

Blog 2. Health care system

Hi everyone!

In this blog I will talk a little bit about the Chilean health care system. So let’s get angry together.

In Chile we have two health care systems: the public system and the private system.

In the public system you go to the hospitals or other public establishments like SAPU, SAR and SAMU. Like other public institutions, they have a low budget, which means,  little staff, low salaries, low capacity and a lot of problems for workers and users. The public system doesn´t only have budget issues, it also has organizatonial problems and the waiting lists are a real problem for users who need treatment, surgery, trasplants, etc. In addition to all of the above, we have deficient authorities in the management of the public health problem.

The problem with the private system is the cost. The prices are ridiculously high, only a few people can pay for it, and the people who cannot pay for it goes to the public system or gets indebts for a lot of money.

The problem with the health system in Chile is serious, the last news we heard from the authorities is a reduction of the budget. Incredible!

Blog 1 - Politics

Hello everyone, this post is about the importance of vote

In Chile every 4 years is election period, so we as a citizens have to vote for Presidents, Congresists, Mayor and others public charges (not all this charges have elections at the same time, but the charges change every 4 or 8 years). Why is it important participate in this democratic process? The vote is one of the most important citizen acts, we  choose  representatives for the community and representatives of the ideas that we have for our country, region or city.  The participation is very important because it confirms the popular representation of the candidate elected and his workteam. A lot of people don´t think that voting is an important process or don´t believe in the candidates and politicians, and I don´t blame them. It´s been many years of an inefficient civic education and many years of corruption, but I still believe in voting, because is one of the ways we have to choose the processes and changes that we want.

Remember if you are going to vote, it is important that you investigate the candidates and their teams. The best you can do is vote informed and secure about your option.
